Most of my all-time favorite books are ones I read in childhood. I read good books now and then, but the ones I love the most are those first ones. Unsurprisingly, they made the most impression on me. Some I had to read for school, which at the time seemed like a chore, but the others I devoured on my own.
Here’s the start of my list, some with links to my reviews on Goodreads.
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
1984 by George Orwell
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
Carrie by Stephen King
Matilda by Roald Dahl
